Treaty Needs Public Support – Mundine

The Head of the Indigenous Advisory Council Warren Mundine says the support of the wider Australian public is needed before Prime Minister Malcom Turnbull acts on treaty negotiations.

Calls for a settlement between First Nations and the Commonwealth are getting louder as conversations build towards what a treaty would look like and how it would be reached.

Bundjalung man, Mr Mundine says they are conversations that need to be had with the wider Australian public.
