A Stolen Generation survivor and treasurer for the Kinchela Boys Home in NSW says a Stolen Generations Healing Fund will help the group reach out to younger and future generations.

The recently announced $73mn package follows a 12-month inquiry carried out by the state government in response to the 1997 Bringing Them Home Report.

James Michael Walsh – who was sent to the Kinchela Boys Home as a child – says the promised funding for the group will help them to carry forward with their journey and prevent further trauma in the future.
